Versa Lite stopped vibrating when a notification comes in

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So 2 days ago my Vera lite started vibrating non stop. I read on forum how to get it to stop. Then it started powering on and off and on and off and I figured out how to make it stop doing that. Now I receive notifications but it no longer vibrates for any of them, which is the only way I know when I get a notification. I restarted it with the button on the side. I restarted under about and that didn't help so I did a factory reset also to see if it would help, nothing. I checked on the lite and even tried cycling through the vibrations setting of normal and strong. I am not really sure what else to do at this point. I have checked all the settings and everything is set the way it is supposed to be. Please help

Thanks,

Alexis

Hi there @NurseLexi, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issues with your Versa Lite before reaching out. I totally understand how you must be feeling.

If you haven't done so yet, please try all the steps provided in this help article Why didn't my Fitbit device alert me?

Keep in mind that when you turn on the do not disturb, quiet hours, or driving mode setting on your phone, your Fitbit device receives notifications but won’t alert you. Swipe down from the top of the screen to see your notifications.

Note: If you have an Android phone, you can set your Fitbit device to always send you notifications:

  1. Tap the Today tab > your profile picture > Notifications.
  2. In the Vibration Settings section, turn on the Always Vibrate option.

If you're still not receiving notifications after the steps recommended above, please see Why are notifications delayed or missing?

I get the notifications. It no longer vibrates so I can not tell I am getting the notifications. I do not use do not disturb or quiet hours or any of that stuff. It freaked out a few days ago and wouldn’t stop vibrating and now it won’t do it at all. And it doesn’t vibrate when I set an alarm either.

@NurseLexi Thanks for the update.

As our last resource, please try the following:

  1. Open Timer and choose the stopwatch.
  2. Tap the play icon to start. Your device should vibrate.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

It should vibrate when I press the play option? Because it did not vibrate at all when I tried this option..

@NurseLexi I appreciate you had followed the tips and recommendations provided above. Regarding your inquiry, yest, your Versa Lite should've vibrated after pressing the "Play" button.

Since this sounds a bit more serious, I've created a support case on your behalf - you should receive an email from Customer Support at the email you used to register with the Community forums. Note that we may take a bit long to get back to you since due to recent events affecting our operations, support options are limited and wait times are longer than usual.

We hope your issue is solved soon.
