I did a factory reset yesterday on my Versa Lite and now my watch won't work. It can be synced to the app but will not make it further than 15% of the update download. The watch is stuck showing the fitbit logo.
I've talked to customer support and after trying the best that can be done is 35% off purchasing a new watch since my watch is out of warranty.
Watch was generally working pre reset so I'm not sure how they can just ignore a huge problem with their software? There is no warning that a reset can damage the Versa Lite's function --- which multiple customer reps knew about.
Not really sure where to go from here so any advice is welcome.

Hi there @eg1, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa Lite stopped working after the Factory Reset you performed. Please note that we don't suggest or recommend to do a factory reset on Fitbit devices unless directed to by Customer Support.
Thanks for your question about why we offered a discount towards a new Fitbit product instead of a replacement of your existing Fitbit product. Our limited warranty provides repair or replacement of products that have a defect while still in the warranty period. Your device is out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for repair or replacement, but we want to offer you a discount to thank you for your loyalty to Fitbit.
For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty.
We thank you for being a customer and hope that the discount will help keep you in the Fitbit family. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I have the same issue. My versa lite stopped syncing and also stopped keeping the correct time. I have tried ALL of the suggested corrections from this forum to include shutting down the device, reinstalling the fitbit software etc. My last resort was to do a factory reset and reinstall the software again (which I did see on one of the forum responses) However, while the software was trying to update the device, it kept trying to find the device, then it would update a % or two and then again trying to find the device. It finally stopped and said update failed. It seems that the bluetooth in my versa lite is not working properly. One of the times, the screen kept popping up new 4-digit codes every few seconds. I purchased this device in June or July of 2019 and then had an issue with the screen not working. I was sent a new "pebble" sometime in Sept or Oct of 2019.
I would love to get some other suggestions on this. I sure hope this is not a sign that I need to purchase a new one, as I do not have the funds to be able to do this. For the amount paid, this versa lite should last more than a year. Very frustrating.
