Versa Lite stopped working after swimming

I wore my Fitbit Versa Lite in a pool after reading that it was water resistant to 50m. Now it will not turn on. I've found water droplets seeping out between the bezel and the screen. Really disappointed with the quality of the product and I've tried everything to dry it out with no success.

Hi there, @Gezagonk. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa Lite before reaching out. I understand how disappointing this can be.

In addition to the steps you've tried so far, I'd recommend restarting your watch by following these steps How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the restart doesn't work, let's move forward with the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again.

Hope that helps.

That doesn't really work when water is still dripping out of the Fitbit. It's a bit dangerous recommending that I connect it to a power source. These devices are not cheap and I am shocked by the build quality. So basically bin the device then?
