Versa Lite stuck on message "Data not cleared, Sync & Tried again"

we bought a used fitbit online but when we got it the only screen coming up is "data not cleared sync and try again" we have tried to connect it many times and every once in a while the code come up but Goes away quickly and wont come back.

can yall help me fix this

Hi there, @smallrabbit. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa Lite before reaching out. 

 

To solve this issue, I recommend doing a factory reset: 

 

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. 
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). 
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

I have tried this with my daughter's Versa Lite but continue to get the data not cleared screen.  We cannot get it to reset.
