Hi there, @Isabella264. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums.

Please note the message "Data not cleared, Sync & Try again" usually appears when you performed a factory reset without first unpairing your watch from your phone's Bluetooth settings.

With that being said, please confirm if you've followed the steps below to solve this issue:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up the Fitbit device to the relative's Fitbit account.
  • If there is no connection, restart the Fitbit device.

If you both continue having issues to pair the Fitbit device, see Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hi,

I have the same problem. I wanted to use the Versa lite again, after a few months. So I charged it again. After it was fully charged, I opened my fitbit app, to sync it. That didn't work. It kept "trying to connect". So I deleted the bluetooth connection and I deleted the versa lite from my app. Then I tried to reinstall the versa lite. Which didn't work. My app couldn't find the fitbit. Tried reinstalling it several times. Restarted the versa lite several times. Restarted my phone several times. Still couldn't install the versa lite. My fitbit app couldn't find the versa lite.

Then I did the factory reset, in the hope that would help me. But now I have this error message and nothing works. How can I resolve this?
