I've just synced my fitbit and its showing I did 9,000 steps between 7am and 7.15 am. I can assure i was asleep at this time and I don't think anyone has ever done 9,000 steps in 15 minutes. I have shut down the device and restarted in hope it would right itself but it hasn't. This is totally in accurate and now I can't log my steps properly for today.

Hi @Alicema94, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa Lite since it shows a high amount of steps that were not taken. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.
Please try a factory reset. To do so on your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. Sync your watch before this in order to avoid losing current data.
Finally, monitor your watch and see if the issue doesn't happen again.
