Versa Lite turns itself off and the screen freezes

I’ve had my watch since mid-December and within the last two months, it has increased the frequency of these problems. It randomly turns itself off through out the day, and I’m assuming the night, and the screen often freezes. I’m able to force restart the watch, but it doesn’t register my touch on the watch face itself until I restart it.

Hi @Ramatamtam, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.

I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa Lite since it turns of by itself and the screen freezes. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

Please try a factory reset. To do son your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, set up your watch from scratch and see if the issues get fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

If I do a factory reset, will I lose all prior exercising information on my app?

Hi @Mybennett1231, thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! Regarding your question, I recommend to sync your Fitbit device before performing a factory reset in order to avoid losing current data.

Let me know how it goes.
