Versa Lite - why do cycling miles not contribute to daily miles?

Does anyone else have this problem or know how to sort it? 

I did a 2 mile bicycle ride and a 2 mile walk (along with 1 miles worth of steps through the day) but when I check how many miles I've done, it only says 3. Why doesn't cycling contribute to daily miles?

Hello @poppyfern and welcome to the Help forums.  Fitbit existed for several years as a device that counted steps, distance, etc.  Fitbits couldn't track bike rides.  The daily and the lifetime distances have never included bike or swim distance.  I guess it goes back to Fitbit's lifetime distance badges that all start out, "You walked ...."

I see! Thank you - I've had a Fitbit for years but never realised it didn't contribute.
