Hi. I received a Versa Lite for Christmas and downloaded the fitbit app on my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge to get started. It said the watch needed a firmware update and I started it but despite leaving the phone and watch together ALL DAY the update did not work and it seems the connection keeps dropping on and off. I have tried resetting the watch, my phone, the app and everything I can think of to fix this bit still no success. I even tried 2 other phones and my Google chrome book but the app is the same in all of them and the update doesn't work. I can't set up anything without the update happening first so can't even wear it as a watch just now 😞 Please someone help!

@SunsetRunner, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa Lite since the firmware update won't finish. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.
Please let me know what is the brand and model of your phones that you are trying to connect your Versa Lite with.
In the meantime, try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After this, run the firmware update again and see if your Versa Lite gets updated.

I am having the same issue. I have the Galaxy S7. According to my profile, I have the filmware version 38.33.1.30
