Versa Lite won't let me read text messages

My versa lite wont let me read my text messages but I can read emails and other messages.  Can anyone help with this ?

Make sure the Text Messages item is correctly configured and ON

In the phone Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

Device photo [middle left]

Notifications

And verify the top 4 items are correctly defined.

Also

App notifications

and select any apps you want to hear from.
