Hi,
originally a month or so ago I was just having problems with my Versa Lite not syncing. Whilst annoying I just accepted it. It then started to have more problems, Bluetooth wouldn’t find phone at all, started losing time plus more. I searched forums and followed advice of restarting Fitbit, turning phone on and off, Bluetooth on and off, forget this device on Bluetooth etc. The first time I tried the latter it wouldn’t find phone again for about a week then found it but still lost connection and time wrong so I tried all again, nothing since. The only steps I had left to try from forums is forget device on app and set up again or the firmware update. As I had heard countless stories of people’s phones just dying or screen going blank after firmware update I decided to try forget device on app first as the screen was the only thing I had working and due to a medical problem where I monitor heart rate and ( also need to monitor sleep hr and EOV)I didn’t want to lose that. As soon as I did it I couldn’t set the device back up again and Bluetooth won’t find phone at all. Been two weeks now and can only use screen just to see hr. Had the watch 17 months so out of warranty. Very upset as loved this watch and don’t know what to do about it.
I know 9 other people with different Fitbit to mine with similar issues and from reading forums that these type of issues are affecting a vast number of people so its clearly a Fitbit fault but there seems to be no fix as far as I have read. Apologies long post.

Hi there @Cc53, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the inconveniences you've been having with your Versa Lite, I understand how you must be feeling. I appreciate your time and efforts in troubleshooting the issue prior to posting here, I'll be glad to continue assisting you.
It seems that your watch is asking to be paired. As per the description I'm aware that you only unpaired your Versa Lite from the Fitbit app but not from the phone's Bluetooth settings. Did you perform a factory reset prior having difficulties to set up your watch again?
If so, please try the steps below:
If you can't get started with your Versa Lite, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
Once your Versa Lite is paired to your Fitbit account, please keep an eye on its behavior and check if it keeps losing connection and time.
I'm looking forward to your response, keep me posted.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Hi @MarreFitbit
Many thanks for getting back to me and for the suggestions.
No, I didn’t do factory reset, forgot to put that on my original post. I had read from other forums not to do it so left that off.
As per other suggestions, my Fitbit isn’t paired to my Bluetooth that’s one of issues that it won’t even find it now. By the way I have tried it on laptop, tablet and someone else tried to find it with their phone but same problem, it won’t find it and sync.
I had already tried all your other suggestions but I did them again just now and unfortunately nothing has changed. Actually something is, my heart rate is about 30 beats out when used to always be accurate, poss been like this all day though.
As for the set up suggestions, I appreciate it but the set up went smoothly 17 months ago and it was very simple. I did read all of the article you suggested but again unfortunately they are all things I have tried already to no avail.
Many Thanks
Claire

Hi Marre, i have already done all these troubleshooting but still the screen says “data not cleared sync and try again”. Its just not updating the device at all. Please help me as it was my daughter’s birthday present and the more she used to love now the more she hated it because it is been shut for almost 3 weeks now. Tried everything on here or youtube but no solution.

Hi @MarreFitbit
I understand your busy but as it has been a few days since any updates/advice I decided to do a factory reset as you mentioned in response to my original post I did this out of desperation as like I’ve posted since, heart rate out of sync and also dramatically losing battery too I had nothing left to try.
The watch went completely dead, black screen for a long time. Now has big Red Cross on screen saying data not cleared. Sync & try again. I have tried syncing, setting up as new device and basically all of the options I’ve originally tried and what you have then suggested. Nothing works, still won’t set up device or link to Bluetooth, it won’t even find the device. Now all I can get is a screen with Red Cross sync & try again.
I am really not happy about all of this and feel for the vast amount of people who like myself have a completely useless Fitbit at the moment with no fix in sight.

Hi there. Sorry I don’t have any suggestions about your issue but I just wanted to ask what features u could use without your phone? As I’m wanting to get my 12 year old sister a Fitbit for Christmas but she’s not allowed any internet devices so the watch won’t be connected to any device. Will it still work?
