Versa Lite won't show my notifications

All of a sudden my Fitbit Versa Lite (which I have had for years) will not show when I get a text message or phone call on the screen. I have deleted the app off my phone, then deleted the Versa out of my BlueTooth list, and then turned the phone off completely. I just downloaded the app again, logged in, connected the device in the app as well as paired it with Bluetooth, and allowed all settings. iPhone settings > Bluetooth > Versa Lite > Share System Notifications is turned on. The Do Not Disturb or Sleep Mode is not on either, I double-checked before making this post. It's an iPhone 12. iOS14.7.1

My Versa suddenly decided to stop sending text or call notifications 2 weeks ago…. I did all the fixes listed online and contacted Fitbit support and still not working.  According to Fitbit support they need to do further investigation and then will email a solution…….but when I asked a timescale was informed there isn’t one so looks like I may never get this function back which was one of the reasons I bought it over an Apple Watch.  May have to bite the bullet and buy an Apple Watch if they can’t fix this issue.
