Versa Lite won't stay connected to my phone

My Versa Lite will not stay synced to my phone. It has been such a great device for so long, but all of a sudden it won't sync unless I manually do so, and sometimes it won't even then. I can't contact support as I sleep days and refuse to get twitter. Help?

Hi there @LiaCross, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the connectivity issues you've been having with your Versa Lite, I understand where your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling. I'll be glad to help you.

We're sorry for the hard time you had while reaching our Support Team (Twitter), due to recent events affecting our operations, support options are limited and wait times are longer than usual.

Regarding the issue you're experiencing, I suggest following the troubleshooting steps provided in the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

I was also wondering what's the model of the phone you're syncing with? Please know Fitbit products are compatible with most devices that have the following operating systems: Apple iOS 12.2 or higher, Android OS 7.0 or higher, and Windows 10 version 1607.0 or higher. For the latest list of devices that support the Fitbit app for Android, see Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported and does not meet the require OS we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone or tablet meets the minimum operating system requirements.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

I have been having the same issue with my versa. I have done every trouble shoot that there is besides a factory reset. Everything worked fine up until last Saturday. Then suddenly my watch will not connect to Bluetooth or stay connected and my app is always looking for device. I’m in the middle of a stepbet challenge and factory resetting is not an option currently. I have an iPhone 8 with the latest update and my versa is up to date.
This is a huge pain to have to constantly be uninstalling and reinstalling the app and still have it not work. Or have it work once to sync but then won’t again hours later.

I’ve had my watch for over a year and this is the first time having issues like this.

Hi,

I want to echo what has been raised, it is not that the Device or OS don't meet the min. requirements. The Versa Lite has been connected to the same device for around a year (iPhone XR) and IOS is regularly updated. It has been working fine until recently (a week or so ago), nothing has changed in terms of device, OS or other devices connected. I have tried the troubleshooting and sometimes can get it connected at the first time, sometimes it takes more than one cycle to get it connected.

When I look into the Bluetooth connection in my iPhone it shows that it goes on and off with me doing anything (Versa is right beside the phone, none of them being moved nor used for anything else), in the space of 2 minutes I counted the Buletooth connection going on and off more than 8 times.  The phone has steady and reliable Bluetooth connections with any other device that it is connected to it, only the Versa Lite has shown this problem.

I've had mine less than a year. Never had an issue until about 3 weeks ago. All a sudden it will not sync at all while I'm wearing it. Figured out it only syncs when it's not being worn. Weird. We've called a customer service a few times, I've chatted online, I've searched the web multiple times, and haven't come up with anything. We've done everything that can be done to re-sync it. It barely lasts a half hour then starts falling behind on time. Ridiculous. Least I know now it's not just me. Sounds like the Versa lite is faulty.

I've been having the same issues for over a month. It seems it all started after a firmware update on my fitbit. Texts, phone calls come through just fine. So it appears Bluetooth is working fine. It will sync fine, too. My issue is gps won't stay connected. I have to manually sync my phone to get to reconnect gps. Not only is that annoying, it's dangerous to do as I'm running.  I've tried all the recommended troubleshooting and nothing works. I feel it's almost impossible to contact fitbit to resolve the issue.  I keep seeing others having this issue on the forum.

Yeah, I won't wear mine anymore. It will not sync at all and I have done
literally everything I can do to troubleshoot it. It is now just a simple
watch. It doesn't function correctly at all.
