Versa Lite won't sync or update to my Fitbit app

Hi been trying since Saturday morning to get my new fitbit versa lite to sync with my fitbit app and when I do it say it needs to update and when it starts to update it only goes to 5%percent download no more then that it goes back to 1%percent then it says it need to data and sync watch to the app what I'm I doing wrong with it
