I have a Versa 2 Lite. I open my phone app (Android) to sync it every morning.
If I do not open the app daily, it stops syncing in the afternoon or evening and will not sync until I open the app again.
It used to sync automatically whenever within Bluetooth range of the phone. Now it doesn't do it unless I specifically open the app on the phone.
Is there some sort of setting I should check?

Hello there, @Dan_NC. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Versa Lite.
If you haven't done so yet, please see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Thank you for the advice. It describes my problem exactly. I have to sync my Versa manually.
My problem is not that I cannot sync my device at all. It is that I have to sync it manually every day. I don't know how many syncs it does between about 9 AM when I do it manually an 5 PM when it quits.
I did all the recommended procedures and none of them fix the problem. I syncs when I follow them and then stops syncing hours later.
I can also sync the device by rebooting it. About once a month I reboot both my phone and the device. But that doesn't work either.

I will add two more cents: I did not specify what type of phone I am using. It's an Android and not an Apple.
To the best of my knowledge I have the latest update to the app there. To the best of my knowledge I have the latest update to my fitbit.
Do you have an idea on how to force a check for updates to each?

Two more cents. I manually sync the device in the morning. It seems to resync at least a couple of times during the day. Then at night, I plug my phone into a charger and I wear the fitbit to bed. I am about 30 feet away from the phone and most likely out of blutooth range.
So the fitbit tries to resync and then "gives up" permanently until resynced manually again.
Is this a feature of the device? Should there be a notice that it must be kept within blutooh range or it will not sync automatically? Is this something a software fix can remedy? Is the device too old to even bother?
