I have the versa lite and keep getting a couldn't get a consistent heartbeat in the morning. on a rare ocationally I will get a score and good sleep. most i get restless awake only. How do I correct this and what does that mean? It also will not update.

Try a restart do it 3 times
If it does not help try A Long Restart
Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds. Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen. Remove the device from the charging cable. Plug the device into the charging cable again. The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

In the meantime, try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After this, monitor your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.
