Versa Lite won't turn on or take a charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

yesterday my versa lite would start randomly going to breathing exercises without me even touching the watch and then just died. I thought maybe the battery was dead so I put it on the charger and the screen started to light up but never did anything else. I took it off the charger this morning and the screen is now black and won’t react to anything.

This just happened to me and I don’t know what to do. Did they ever get back with you, and how did you fix it?

I have exactly the same issue - left the versa charging overnight, this morning it  won't turn on. Holding down the buttons doesn't do anything. There is no response from the device.

No I could not fix it. My watch was out of warranty by one month so customer service did nothing. I bought a new watch (Not a Fitbit). This was my third Fitbit watch and they all quit working right after the one year mark. I am done with this brand.

Hello, I had this issue about 2-3 weeks ago, and I contacted customer service. They told me that since I had purchased it within the timeframe of less than a year, I still had my warranty. They replaced it with no charge, and I received my replacement in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend talking with customer service and asking about warranty and further options. Thanks.

I had a 2yr warranty from Walmart. Sent it in and the paperwork that came
back just said they replaced the screen. It is working, but nothing was
wrong with my screen before. No cracks or anything so I don't really know
what the problem was, but it did happen right after the Fitbit update.

replace it for you. Mine was just over a year old.

I haven't heard anything from Fitbit Support team. I will never again buy a fitbit

@Sunshine1111For what it's worth, I had the same problem as the original poster and I was within the one year warranty period. I live in Australia. I took it to the store that I'd purchased it from (I'd lost my receipt, but I have a store profile for rewards points, so proof of purchase was no drama), they tested it themselves for a few minutes to verify I wasn't making it up, and replaced it with a brand new one. I think maybe my first one must have been part of a "bad batch" with a fault. It's probably too early to tell, but I've had zero problems so far. With the first one, I'd started to notice battery life was not as good as promised fairly early on. The replacement hasn't yet shown any decline, only needs recharging every couple of days. Fingers crossed.

Hi,

I emailed https://contact.fitbit.com

They offered me a free replacement or 50% off a better model.

Hope that helps.

I have tried troubleshooting for this issue as well, and I spoke to a service representative with no solution. What do I do now?

@JuanJoFitbit I have tried everything in this article and even called and they gave me the same tips. Similar to @aa345, I have been a loyal member and have used Fitbit products for a long time. Would it be possible for a replacement or what other course of action do I need to take?

My Fitbit won’t accept a charge and the screen will go black. I’ve noticed if I don’t let it die the screen stays on but if it dies and turns back on after charging I have to change the clock face on it. Everything else works like it’ll notify me and I can still slide up and side to side for the apps and stats but can’t see the face

I am having the same problems.  I did an update and now it wont charge and the screen is black. I cleaned it as others recommended but no luck :-(.

I bought mine in March 2020.  I use to be a fan of Fitbit but based on the responses, since my warranty is over I have no choice but to buy a new tracker.  It wont be a fitbit.  This was the most expensive tracker I have ever owned.

Mine has a mind of its own. For the last couple weeks the screen is blank the battery dies way to quickly. It won't show messages and the screen tap options don't work.

I've tried everything.

This is so disappointing.

I’m on my second Fitbit after I switched over from pebble. The first died in 2020 are the start of this post but I was just over a year out so I bought another. I’m now 11 months out and did it again! Just bought an Apple Watch but still wish my versa worked… I like Fitbit platform better 😕

I ended up going with Samsung.
Fitbit customer service is a sham.
Unfortunate as they do have a much better platform.
Pretty sure apple and Samsung will catch up.
