Versa Lite won't turn on or take a charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

yesterday my versa lite would start randomly going to breathing exercises without me even touching the watch and then just died. I thought maybe the battery was dead so I put it on the charger and the screen started to light up but never did anything else. I took it off the charger this morning and the screen is now black and won’t react to anything.

@aa345 welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it won't take a charge or turn on.

I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After this, charge your Versa for 2-3 hours and see if it comes back to life.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

I have a versa lite that is totally dead. Have tried 3 different chargers in different outlets and USB adapters. Nothing changes on the screen, takes no charge.

Have tried the 10 second reset with the back button but still nothing.

I looked through the troubleshooting steps in the article you linked but nothing worked. I’ve only had my Versa lite since The end of February or beginning of March 2020. I put my Versa lite on my charger last night before bed and the battery was at 92% before that. Now this morning it will not power on. The screen is black and my phone cannot find the device to connect it.

Mine did the same thing today and has a full charge! Wondering if it has anything to do with an update I did on my iPhone. Will reply again if I find a fix.

Did you ever figure out how to fix this issue my Fit bit is doing the same

Best Answer
No. Nobody even tried to help past basic troubleshooting so I got her an
apple watch instead.

Thats what I am thinking I am done with Fit bit only had mine 6 months so frustrating

No I did not find a fix.

Same problem with mine. Turned off and will not turn back on. Seems to be connected to the app. Charged it overnight and says it has a charge on the app. Vibrates in my hand when synced. Screen is completely black.

I have the same issue. Was fine and then totally went black and will not charge or come on?

Why is there no support from Fitbit

Best Answer

This is happening to my Versa 2 and it seems to be caused by the update. It wouldn't hold a charge and then went blank, now it won't charge at all. I am so upset. Why won't anyone from Fitbit address this problem?  I am seeing many posts about this issue.

I did the update 2 days ago. Yesterday it acted weird and kept having a baroda on the screen and wouldn't show the clock face until I changed the clock face to a different choice. This morning it is a total black screen and won't show anything when on the charger. Phone app originally showed full charge and synced, but now it says the watch isn't connected. Very frustrating as it seems to be an issue with the update. Fitbit needs to respond to this issue!

The same thing is happening to my versa lite and it also seems to have been caused by the update. This is way too frustrating and it hasn't even been a full year since I've had it. Fitbit better come up with a solution.

Yes I contacted fitbit and nothing they could do. Said 1 yr warranty was
up. Gave a 25% off code for a new one.

***UPDATE***

For anyone following this thread, I spoke with customer service this morning, and they gave me two options:

1) Complimentary replacement for the same device

2) 50% off on any Fitbit items

I will receive my complimentary device within the next week.

Note: At this point I've owned my defective Versa Lite since November of 2019, so the warranty was still on it. If your Fitbit is not working I highly recommend you speak with customer service and get a check on your warranty!!! Hope this helps!

I called customer service and got nowhere. Was offered a 25% off discount since my warranty was out 1 month ago! This is my 3rd Fitbit. I will be buying a different brand to replace my Versa.

Best Answer
Yes mine was 2 years old and only offered the 25%. I have replaced about 4
units since owning fitbit. Probably change to a Garmin.
