Versa Lite won’t turn on

My versa lite did an update last night and worked for a night this morning it shut off and tried restarting and will not turn on. I have had around 6 months and I have had many problems doing updates. For no reason many times it just shuts off.

Mine has done the same thing.  It updated and now won't come back on, even though the app shows it is 100% charged.

Hi @Pmwill55 @Dawnpe53, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa Lite watches since they won't turn on. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I would like to know if your watches vibrate when you put them on the charger.

In the meantime, please try a factory reset. To do so on your devices, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.
  • Charge your devices for 2-3 hours and see if they come back to life

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi,
When you say back button, where is that? I only have a side button on my versa lite. I have held the side button for 10 seconds several times and released and I can not get the Fitbit to turn on. I have charged for hours and still nothing.

I did find this on another page, "On the Versa 2 and Versa Lite, the process is slightly different since these smartwatches only have one button. Hold it down until the device reboots. When you see the Fitbit logo, release the button for a second or two and then hold it down again until you feel a long vibration indicating that a factory reset has taken place."  But after holding my button for more than three minutes, nothing happened.  It will cycle on and off during charging though, but always turns back off. I would really like to get this taken care of.

I held button and released several times and it doesn’t even vibrate. I did get to show the battery charge which is at 0%, I put on charger for hours and does nothing. I never see the Fitbit logo sign.
