Versa Lite won't turn on

Been using this watch for a few months now and it worked fine till one day the battery went flat and it hasn't switched on since then. I've tried charging it sufficiently (for hours) & pressing and holding the side button to switch it on, but the screen does not even light up. Doesn't show that it's charging after plugging in – I've tried to clean the charger and the watch itself but it didn't help.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation

Thanks for your quick response. The heart rate sensors are not flashing. I'm not certain if it's a battery problem. There are occasions (after charging) where the screen would randomly light up and display the Fitbit logo, but still remains unresponsive when I press the side buttons. The screen turns black after a while – possibly when it runs out of battery. I've attempted the restart process, as well as the solutions in the 'Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device' article but it is still unresponsive.
