I have a Versa Lite that is only 4 months old. Yesterday it somehow lost time. When it was 10am the watch said it was 9:50am. It is fully charged. Tried powering it off & soft rest and nothing worked. Did a factory reset this morning and now -- nothing. The screen is stuck on the watch. How do I move past this issue? Or do I need to send it back and get a replacement?
I've tried to upload a photo, but it will not let me search for it on my computer. Watch screen has a blue line on the left side and the fitbit logo. Tried holding the button to soft reset but now that is not working.
My Galaxy S9+ shows that it synced as soon as I did the rest and tried to update the watch.

I have experienced the same problem with my versa lite and when searching for the problem I found people recommending to remove the app from my phone and apply factory reset to my versa lite which I have done all but it still won't update.
I have a 2 months old watch that is not functioning!!!!

I'm having the same issue. It started with having issues with syncing and the Bluetooth shutting itself off. I did a factory reset and now can not get it to update. It attempts to update for a long period of time until the watch shows a big red X in the middle of the screen and it starts the update again.

Since you have the Versa Lite, first remove it from your phone app then put it in its cradle and then plug the cradle into a Bluetooth equipped Windows 10 PC. From within the W10 app, set up your Lite as a new device.
This should restore your Lite, though the firmware version may be an older one. Should that be the case, just wait a week or so and the latest firmware will be pushed through again.

I also had to.do a factory reset. I have done all the things you have mentioned above and my fitbit versa lite WILL NOT pair with my phone. My Fitbit also will not turn off and continually flash the diamond symbol saying to download the app. I have done that numerous times and it will still not pair. Very frustrating and for $200 I would expect a better product!!
Thank you

Good day
I am having the same problem! I had to do a factory reset after my versa lite became unresponsive.
I have unpaired the device both on my bluetooth and on the Fitbit app. When I try to set it up as if it were a new device, I manage to get to step 2 (dowloading). It reaches 100% but then instead of loading, the device disconnects and it displays the start page with the logo and says to download the app to start.
I have tried numerous times but continue to have the same problem!
I am using a Samsung galaxy 8 and have turned the versa lite, my bluetooth and phone off and on so many times.
Please advise on how to succeed in setting my versa lite up again as I am very frustrated and my device is only a few months old!

After trying to get it to update for 3 days I did this and it took maybe an hour and a half. I'm so thankful it worked.

I have had my Fitbit Versa for almost a year, and recently in the last 2 months it stopped sending notifications. I finally was able get it to send "reminders" from my Iphone, but no texts, calls or other enabled notifications. Most recently I had washed my band and immediately dried everything, within an hour it shut off, when I finally got it back on it was only showing the FitBit Icon and says to download the app. The watch is stuck at the logo and download the app, and the app on my phone says updated needed...after many attempts to update it, I went into the app on my phone and deleted the Versa, and deleted the Versa from my phones bluetooth, and tried to reconnect it like a new watch. The app will go all the way through the set up with code entry, and shows the update through the progression bar on the face of the watch and simply stops indicating to try via blue tooth connectivity instead of Wi-Fi, both my phone and watch are well within the Wi-Fi with full bars. I've tried to go in via the web to update it, tried from my phone no less than a dozen times, deleted the app and restored, deleted the watch and reconnected... Nothing seems to work! Now with our current state of Covid-19, there are no Chat agents... please help!

Mine is 3 months old and same problem. If I take the app off my phone will I lose all the progress I’ve made over the past few years?

Thank you! I was able to download the Fitbit app for computers through Microsoft and updated my watch through that. I had to disconnect it from my phone app and use the computer app and it ran for a long time (at least an hour) until I went to bed and when I woke up my watch was back! I then paired it with my phone and I’m off to the races. Hopefully it lasts longer than three months but at least I can fix it!
