Versa Lite won't update after factory reset

I have a Versa Lite that is only 4 months old.  Yesterday it somehow lost time.  When it was 10am the watch said it was 9:50am.  It is fully charged.  Tried powering it off & soft rest and nothing worked.  Did a factory reset this morning and now -- nothing.  The screen is stuck on the watch.  How do I move past this issue?  Or do I need to send it back and get a replacement? 

 

I've tried to upload a photo, but it will not let me search for it on my computer.  Watch screen has a blue line on the left side and the fitbit logo. Tried holding the button to soft reset but now that is not working.  

 

My Galaxy S9+ shows that it synced as soon as I did the rest and tried to update the watch.

Tried everything including trying to update it from W10 laptop . Also my Samsung S10 . Update keeps failing .

This is happening to me as well. Update wouldn't finish so I did a factory reset (before I read u weren't suppose to). I've tried continuously to update the Fitbit & it will not update & the Fitbit logo is the only thing that shows on the watch screen. Very frustrated! It's a year old!!!!!

I only read in one place about not doing a factory reset ( which is strange ) must be a fault if it doesn't work after a factory reset , Mine is only a few months old . I've done factory resets on lots of things over the years and this is the first thing that wouldn't work after doing so .

@Lisad1976 thank you for joining the thread and sharing that you're experiencing the same issue. I am sorry that you are going through this situation, I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to assist you with that. I recommend to plug the watch into a computer and try to update over Bluetooth. You may need to resume the update if it fails a few times. hey @LiliyaFitbit I am experiencing the same issue. I did a factory reset and now my fitbit versa lite is setting up. Can you please help me too? I tried a lot please help

What version do u have when u go into ur Fitbit app? I did as she told me & it worked!!! My watch is running perfect! Plug the watch into the computer, u may need to update a few times until the watch updates to the proper version! Hope this helps. I can find the original email & copy & paste it if u like...???

I did a factory reset after which fitbit logo comes and doesn't when i try to setup it doesnt detect versa lite, I pluged into the PC and tried also it didn't work

My Versa Lite has not synced in about 3 days, and nothing I did with the troubleshooting worked, so I figured I would just do a factory reset and start the process all over again.  Up until then, it was working pretty good, but when you spend $160 for a watch and will not tell time.....you gotta do something!

Anyway, I went to about,,,factory reset.  It came back up saying I needed to download the fitbit app to start.  I already have the fitbit app on my phone AND on my desktop computer....but I signed out, deleted the app on the phone and redownloaded and installed it.  Nope...that fixed NOTHING!  I have tried holding the one and only button in...get the logo and a vibrate and then it just starts scrolling all the languages telling me that I need to download the fitbit app to start!  This is totally ridiculous!!!  Someone please help this old lady celebrate her birthday today with a solution to get this watch up and running again.  Thanks in advance.
