I reset to factory settings and will not finish, update or anything. It’s basically useless. Any ideas? I’m ready to return it to its maker.

Same problem here I was gifted a watch to see lf myself and wife liked it. Planning to buy 2 but can’t even run the update.

Hello and welcome @Susan406 and @Couldwell
If you performed a factory reset, you need to set up your Versa lite again.
Charge your Versa Lite for a couple of hours and then try restarting it by doing the following:
1. Make sure you have deleted Versa lite from your phone's Bluetooth settings
2. Reboot your phone
3. Reboot your Versa lite: press and hold the left side button until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen. This process should take about 10-15 seconds
4. Place Versa lite in the charger near your router as you will be using WIFI to download the firmware
5. Open Fitbit app and log in as usual with email address and password
6. Tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap Set up device, choose Versa lite, it will ask you if you want to replace the old one. Say yes.
7. Follow the instructions on the screen.

I’m a bit confused. The subject of this thread is that the Versa Lite will not work AFTER a factory reset. I’m assuming your experiencing the same issue. If you haven’t done a factory reset then it’s best to let me know what your experiencing first so that I may be able to assist you.

On a lite there is only one button and all it says after reset is to download app and reinstall, no watch features in app it says update to finish it ticks green connected but it won’t update

it does all of that but the update gets to 6% and slows it can’t seem to complete an update is there a button hard reset for a lite

I have done the factory reset and I’m trying to get it up and running again but it won’t until I’ve done the update this have been 12 hours ago and apparently the update is stuck half way according to my phone and all my fit bit keeps doing is buzzing and changing from loading screen to set up please help me !!!!

Hi there
Iv been struggling for 2days now. I followed you instructions and when it start doing the set up my fitbit say data not cleared Sync and retry again. On the app it say Looking for versa lite Step 2 0f 3 Downloading.... 101%. Then the fitbit say data not cleared sync and retry again. Over and over and over. I dont know anymore what to do Thank you Juanita

Me too support is asking me to video what is happening but there is nothing to video it’s just I text in red letters data not cleared reset failed
