Versa Lite won't work after a factory reset

I reset to factory settings and will not finish, update or anything. It’s basically useless. Any ideas? I’m ready to return it to its maker.

Use the USB on the charger and plug into your computer. These are the directions they sent me that worked.
Open the Fitbit Connect app on your desktop computer. You can download Fitbit Connect for Windows and Mac computers. You have to scroll down and look for the pink download button under "Don't have a mobile device available?"
Put your Versa Lite on the charging cable, and plug the other end of the charging cable into the computer.
Open the Fitbit Connect app.
Click "Dashboard > Help > Turn on USB Recovery".
The device will take a few minutes to update. The update is finished when the welcome screen appears on the device.

This has happened to me also.  It’s currently been sitting at 48% for the last 2 hours.  This is after not being bale to get last 6% after trying yesterday for hours and re starting again.

I called customer support and they r sending a replacement so I’m happy can’t wait for it

That’s what I ended up doing too. I hope my replacement gets here soon! I won’t ever try the factory reset again.

I’ve messaged them through Facebook and they are helping me.

My daughter used her birthday $ to buy this and is so upset. A girl at dancing told her to reset it

I followed the directions and it said it found it and then provided a code which i put in and then said to try again. I am going to be so upset if this fitbit doesnt come back to life.

Got mine working after connecting to computor. Choose update through USB.

I finally called customer service and they had me return it and sent me a new one. It took awhile to finally get it but they did replace it.

Hey there, I have the same problem as well. I can do every process as you said but I just can’t update it. I have tried putting the Fitbit lite next to my phone for a whole 24 hours but it still failed to update, and the watch went back to the page of “download the Fitbit app to start, yada yada ya...” 

but the phone says it’s linked and I can use it, but apparently I can’t. So I had to remove the device and try again, but it never worked. 
what can I do? I really liked that watch and I don’t want to throw it away, even though I can’t even use it anymore.

That doesn't work. It just gets hung up on the "step 2 of 3 downloading". I wait and wait, it gets to about 20% completed and stalls. Now I cant even use my Versa as a watch 😞

After weeks of back and forth.  I Facebook messaged fir but and they managed to help me fix it.  

I had to do it through a computer not my phone and were were able to set it up again.  I’ve not tested it since to see if it now connects to my phone.
