Versa Lite won't work unless it's connected to the charger

My Versa Lite when connected to charger, its logo appeared, followed by the clock face. But after a few seconds, it switched off itself. When I tried to reset by pressing the left button for 15 seconds, it doesn't switched on. I need to reattach it back to the charger, and the same thing happened. Is my versa lite spoilt?
