Versa Lite would not update after factory reset

I purchased a Versa Lite that was used, did a factory reset, the Versa would not update.  Only the Fitbit logo and foreign languages would scroll on the watch screen.  I called Fitbit support who told me there was nothing that could be done since I did factory reset......WRONG!  After reading comments from others on this site, I plugged the watch into my desktop computer....like a charm it worked!  Hope this helps someone else.  I was ready to toss the watch after speaking to Fitbit support.  All is well 🙂

what did you do  after you connected your Versa Lite into your computer....

Once I connected to my computer, the Versa Lite updated automatically.

Now, a few months later still working great!

Great.. did the same but mine says it’s updated but all I get is the Fitbit
logo, yet it says it is updated. 🤦‍:female_sign:

@KathySuCan you explain what updated.

 

Normally its not possible to update firmware via the computer, is that what it did, or do you mean it synced with the computer?

 

It seems your watch only needed restarting, or charging.

 

Or did you set it up totally on the computer and install the new firmware?

Yes, it did synch and it did update the Versa Lite. Worked great after I
connected to my computer.

Totally set up on the computer.....my Ipad and IPhone was afraid it didn't
have enough memory.

I saw in comments from other users that they used their computer and it
worked ..... so I tried it and the computer said it updated, but I still
could not get the watch to function it only stays on the Fitbit logo.

Just called Customer Support and having no luck with them, warranty
department is contacting me.
