Versa Logged over 65,000 steps in 15 minutes?

My Versa somehow logged 65,259 steps in a 15 minute period on a day that my Versa battery was dead and I wasn't even wearing it. 

 

Ummm...any theories about this mystery?  It's the first time it has happened.

I'm sorry I don't know the answer - I'm scanning help pages as we speak. But I know that this has happened to me at least 5 times in the last year. Today I got 33,000 steps at midnight - while my Fitbit was on the charger! I'll let you know if I find anything out.
