Versa Music Control not working correctly.

I've managed to successfully connect my Versa to my LG Aristo, and the music controls seem to work fine. However, when the song changes, or is paused at any point, the Versa controls don't update.

The initial state is me having music currently playing on shuffle on the default music app while the Versa connects to my phone. The Versa correctly displays that the phone is playing music, the correct title, and the place currently in the song.

I tap the next song button on the Versa. The next shuffled song starts playing, but the Versa's controls show the previous song as being paused, and the display isn't updated to the new song. The progress bar showing song progress is not updated.

I then exit the controls, then reenter them. The controls now display the current song's progress bar, but the title and the play/pause button is incorrect (song is currently playing).

I close the Music app, disconnect the Versa from my phone, turn off Bluetooth, then start playing music from Google Play Music. I try to connect the Versa, but it refused to connect until Google Play Music was paused. I start playing Google Play Music, and then now the Versa says that it is not connected to a phone, despite the fact that my phone says that the Versa is connected. This continues until I turn off my phone's Bluetooth, then back on again. The Versa now shows the currently playing song on Google Play. Pressing the play button does not update it to a pause button, and skipping to the next song does not update the title, progress, and play status.

I switch back to the default music app, and the title, progress, and play status still does not update.

TL;DR: The Versa has problems on LG Aristo updating the music control when the song changes state.
