Versa Music via Bluetooth keeps disconnecting

My Samsung Galaxy S8 won't stay connected to my Fitbit Versa using Music via Bluetooth. Although I'm still able to receive notifications, I find it rather inconvenient as I use my Versa to unlock my phone via smart lock.

After pairing, the settings will return to off after five minutes, disconnecting my phone. I have to reconnect to my Fitbit every 5 minutes which is really unsettling.

 

Wish I could return this product but I've exceeded the 45 day return policy sigh.

I have fitbit Versa since last week and also have this exact problem. Its the firmware on the fitbit that is the issue. You click pair and it connects, but if you leave it on pair it disconnects. In order to change it to ON, requires you to cycle through OFF first and there lays the problem. It disconnects you. They need to switch the control to ON first after PAIR. The trick of tapping twice quickly doesn't work for me.  Fit bit needs to fix this, its pretty annoying.

The trick of tapping it twice worked for one day on my fitbit versa then I was back to square one again. I have now given up trying and hopefully fitbit will fix this issue asap!

Im currently in chat with them. The only Temp fix seems to be completely disconnecting from phone (forget versa classic device) and re connecting. But when you switch to Play music on device or any disconnection, your back to square one. I'm trying to tell them the cycle controls of PAIR > OFF > ON is wrong. Should be PAIR > ON > OFF.

The same problem with my Versa lite as well. 

they are making fake product by price is still high. Never seen such bad product in my life.
