Versa SE battery drain after being caught in rain

Hi everyone,

I've had my Versa SE for a little while now and, even though it says that you’re able to wear it while swimming etc, I’ve always been pretty careful not to get it wet. I got caught in a downpour the other day and ever since then the battery life is shot, like a full charge will last maybe 8-10hrs, when before that I was having to charge it every 3-4 days. I’ve tried all the “battery saving tips” mentioned in the forums, to no avail. 

Does anyone know if I can fix this, or am I up for a new battery (or a whole new watch)?
