I bought the versa as a birthday gift for my girlfriend last year. She loved it, took great care of it and was really happy.
Two days ago, the touch screen function stoped working. I tried the factory reset which I wasn't able to performed since it needs to charge at the same time but with the charging device the buttons are unreachable.
I reach out to fitbit customer service and they told me the only thing they can do is a 25% discount on a new one. The warranty had expired two months ago. They don't repair nor exchange them. If not warrantied the fitbit is good for garbage. Sounds like pre-programmed obsolescence. In a era of global warming and environment awareness, I'm really disappointed with fitbit and won't buy anymore of their products.

This happened to me as well. Six months after warranty, just a black screen… Customer service says “ I’ll email you a discount for 25% off a new device”. I am so disgusted & frustrated, this is just robbery & horrible customer service.

+1.. mine is just shy of 2 years, but i did not use it for ~ 6 months of that time. I would understand if the hardware became slow or if updates don't work if Fitbit stops supporting old products. However screen conking is unacceptable. I am getting a samsung gear watch next.

The EXACT same thing happened to me. 2 months out of warranty my touchscreen stopped functioning properly. A few weeks later the screen would randomly stay stuck on the Fitbit logo, AND the brightness would stay on the darkest setting. The screen brightness would not change even though I would cycle through the 3 different options. Nothing fixed these problems. I reset multiple times, and even factory reset the device.
I reached out to support and they offered me the same thing, a discount for a new watch lol. As if I would ever purchase another one of their products. Extremely disappointing as I enjoyed the watch when it worked. Not to mention I recommended Fitbit to so many people.

add another customer to the list of 1 month past warranty and the device completly bricks out of nowhere. Daily use and cared for adaquetly. I don't understand why fitbit doesn't even offer a repair program. It's totally forced obsolescence and negates any "green" rhetoric with such a disposable product.

Most all of my samsung products too a dump right after warranties ended a 50in tv & 2 blue ray players just stopped playing blue ray..
And i concur on never purchase fitbit(**ahem**) again.

The screen didn't break!
The warranty is up as it shows you in multiple languages to down load app as i know i did. 4/5/6 times called customer service over & over again to get email with 30% off new 1 so basically i was just renting it.
Hell of a policy for repeat business you got there.
But good try with the broken display. Card. 😆🤣lol! & she only got a year id be upset too.
& definitely no future repeat business.. keep up the good work fitbit (xhit).

Got my Fitbit versa 3 in late June 2022. It is now mid July 2023 and my phone is completely dead only a few weeks out of warranty. SMH. It started having screen issues about a month ago but would start responding again after a day, I am kicking myself for not trying to get it fixed while it was still under warranty. Never purchasing fitbit again and will tell people I know to do the same.
