I bought the versa as a birthday gift for my girlfriend last year. She loved it, took great care of it and was really happy.
Two days ago, the touch screen function stoped working. I tried the factory reset which I wasn't able to performed since it needs to charge at the same time but with the charging device the buttons are unreachable.
I reach out to fitbit customer service and they told me the only thing they can do is a 25% discount on a new one. The warranty had expired two months ago. They don't repair nor exchange them. If not warrantied the fitbit is good for garbage. Sounds like pre-programmed obsolescence. In a era of global warming and environment awareness, I'm really disappointed with fitbit and won't buy anymore of their products.

Had the same thing happen today! Warranty expired a couple months ago. Only offered a 25% discount on a new device!
Apparently this is an on going issue with the Versa. I also own a Blaze and had no issues. Just switched to the Versa for the new features and design.
Big mistake!!!
Fitbit has lost a repeat customer. I guess customer loyalty is not a priority with these guys.
Very disappointed.

Same thing happened to me. I got my Versa as Birthday gift in June last year and it completely just stopped working 2 days ago. What a rip off! All they can do is give you a measly 25% off. This is so frustrating!

I am having the same issue currently and they said they will not replace it as it is not under warranty anymore and offered me 25% off as well! Fitbit sucks! I had a Garmin before this and never had any issues!
No it doesn't help you improve! You guys are making great revenue from customers like us! You are not backing your product and the product is failing miserably!

This just happened to me as well, even the customer service rep said that they "can definitely understand if that made you lose your faith with Fitbit". Very disappointed. Again, was only offered a percentage off of a new product... unfortunately for them I will take my business elsewhere and will tell everyone that I know to stay away from this company as a whole.

I have brought fitbit versa in the month of October 2018 and in June 2019 it was replace for having battery issue.
Now the new fitbit also stopped working with in 5 months and there is not replacement because it is out of warranty and the warranty is being counted from october 2018.
But for this new hardware the warranty should be from June 2019.
This is cheating, they can even repair this. i have got this for 18000 and it now completely wasted

This exact issue is what I’ve come across as well. My Versa had worked just fine up until this morning- the screen went completely black and per Customer Care at Fitbit, there is nothing that can be done for it. His suggestion was that I could still wear it and then just look at my phone when I want to know where I’m at on my steps/stats. I purchased this in Feb 2019. It is 2 months past my one year warranty. SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATED!!!!! I will NEVER purchase another Fitbit product.

They always seem to croak a few months after the warranty expires. I think I'm on my 5th one (you think I'd learn by now).

I purchased my Versa 2 this past November. Today the face of the watch does not display as normal. It looks like someone tried to erase it and left part behind. After reading the comments here and I am very sad that I chose to switch from my Garmin, which I had zero problems with, to a Fitbit. Customer Service is horrible. The comments they come back with "I understand your frustration..." is a lie. If they understood they would do something to make it right. No more Fitbits in our household! This is an issue of bad business practice. I will be sharing my negative experience across all forms of media. This blasé and lack of consideration for customer loyalty is ridiculous.

Totally agree. I will NEVER buy another FitBit product ever again. And by the way, there are still no “moderators” with enough courage to address all of us on this thread. Still......crickets!

My Versa did the same thing to me. Not even a month out of warranty, my watch display stopped working. It's been nothing but a black screen for a week and a half, and Customer Service has been no help. I had no issues with the Versa until the warranty expired, which doesn't seem coincidental at all. Never buying a Fitbit again...

Same thing happened to me. Exactly two months after the warranty ended my Fitbit died. Very disappointed as well. I will not invest another Fitbit even when they offered a 25% discount on the purchase of a new one.
