Versa Screen went totally black

Has anyone else’s Fitbit Versa screen go completely black? Mine did Friday afternoon. I just checked and it still charges. I can see on the app it’s at full battery. My husband thought that if he put it back on the charger the screen may come back on, but unfortunately it didn’t. 😭 I haven’t had my Versa for even half a year yet. It’s only been a little over 5 months since I’ve had this. I really, really wanted to like this Fitbit so badly. I didn’t want to get an Apple Watch. I got so exited when they came out with this version. I’ve had Fitbit devices for so long. In the beginning it was great! Now I’ve just been having so many problems. My wrist feels so naked without it on.

Hi @cheryljane  two things to try. Try restarting it several times. If that doesnt bring it back try changing the clock face in the app. If that doesnt work either then come back here.

Restart your tracker

Hello I am experiencing the same issue. I got an email saying the battery was low even though I had just charged it, so I put it on the charger. When I came back 5 hours later, it was dead- the screen won't turn on and it seems to be over heating, and the heart rate sensor is not lighting up. I have tried the hard reset by holding down the buttons and the screen flashes a dark blue until I let go but I never see a logo. My phone is not able to sync with it currently, though it says it is at medium level battery. How do I get my versa back up and running?

@Rfortuna  Try what I suggested above and come back here if this doesnt resolve the problem.

As I mentioned in my previous message, I did try what you suggested, and it didn't work. Holding down the buttons for a hard reset doesn't do anything, and I am not able to change the clock face because my phone isn't  able to connect with it. It is not syncing with my phone at all and the app is telling me it is not connecting.

I am having this problem as well. My versa will not let me hold down the buttons to restart or even turn on. It doesn’t do anything when I put it on the charger. I am afraid this might result is just having to buy a new one.

Mins is doing the exact same thing and I’ve tried the reset and it says it can’t connect to my versa to change the clock. Please have someone help me as well.

Same issue. Versa is about 7 months old. Started with battery needing to be charged every day, then a couple times a day. Now the screen stays black. When on the charger, it says battery is 99%, yet screen will not turn on after disconnected from charger. Held left and right buttons and did a hard reset. Worked for about 5 minutes, then black screen again. Tried hard reset again and now there's no response from Versa.

I don't want to have to go back to an apple watch! 😭😭😭😭

mine has done the same. They will replace it but they can't tell you whether you are getting new or refurbished.

Pay for new watch and couple months after end up with refurbished one... joke!
