Finally got the update and, so, updated my fitbit.
Surprise, surprise - the heart monitor still isn't working. What an absolute piece of crap the versa 2 is.
Fitbit should be reimbursing us for our costs as their product is unfit for purpose and, therefore, should never have been sold to us.
Come on Fitbit - pay us our money back

Mine too. It used to last 5mdays, now it’s barely 3. So disappointed.

Have/had the same issue with my 9 month old Versa Lite (died mysteriously after update over a month ago), my replacement Versa 2 that's a week old is just as bad for distance tracking. Expensive pieces of crap!
The first pic is of the UnderArmour App tracker on my phone, the second pic is from Fitbit App using activity tracker on my watch before running. Big difference in distances!
I drove both runs this morning after my morning run, and both were within 100m of the UnderArmour tracker.
The app cost me nothing, the watch/s $400 in under 12 months. And the week old Versa 2 is down to 60%charge after 40hrs of use, all battery saving suggestions enabled, I won't get anywhere near the 6+ days that Fitbit advertise!
And when you complain about it on the forum here they delete your post using the excuse that you are inciting negativity from your inflammatory post!!

I think these updates cause fitbit to fail my fitbit started to stop working over a month ago after update. I have been reaching out to customer service and random people responding and not reading my initial email. Horrible customer service..

As I noted in my post on this thread, the battery draining issue is not new. This issue has been reported with every firmware update especially since the one from December. No amount of battery saving trouble shooting is going to make any difference to the result since it's a bad coding issue in the firmware. This issue as well as the other issues introduced with each firmware update is not acceptable.
Bottom line is that these firmware updates are pushed out without being accurately and throughly testing especially with devices with older hardware.. Look how quickly this firmware update was rolled out. How can you throughly test a firmware update in that short of a timeframe?
Users, especially those that are out of warranty should be given the option to update their devices.

Oh I'm worried! My app says there's an update!
The last update a few weeks ago, I'd one day of problems, then it seemed to fix itself. I figured they maybe sent patches through. This update was seemingly forced through. I didn't opt to install this.
On reading the posts here I'm terrified of updating again and having horrible issues 🤦 I really like my Fitbit and although it's in warranty I don't want it to die! 🤦 Has anyone updated and theirs has been ok?

Honestly, I don't know what happened since the firmware update but I have had nothing but trouble the last 2 days with my Versa communicating with my mobile app. Yesterday it could not find my Versa and would not sync. I tried restarting the phone, restarting the fitbit, reinstalling the fitbit app and nothing worked. Firmware was up to date. I had to reset to factory settings and then had issues trying to set up the Versa because again it had trouble finding it. Finally got it back up and running and today it can't find the weather data even though it is set up for auto location in the app. Two months ago the Versa stopped accurately reflecting mileage on walks. My Versa is only a year old and in excellent condition. I'm about to give up on FitBit altogether.

Just to ask about your response Maria, so in this update we are not to expect fixes to the GPS issues many of us have?
if that’s the case are you able to update when it might be coming soon? I’ve been having the same issues and I’ve tried everything advised on all threads and links multiple times to try and fix it and it’s still the same 😭 (I’ve got a versa 2)

My Versa died this morning. It is two years old almost to the day. I am switching to Apple after all the posts I read today. I have had Charge HR replaced twice bought the Versa 2 years ago, loved it until this morning. Good luck. They did offer me a 25% discount, however I am done. I own two Apple products that work just fine.

Post update, my versa will no longer function properly. Specifically, it no longer collects BPM data, the battery is draining faster, and the screen freezes randomly. I have exhausted all suggestions within this thread with no change.is there anyway to downgrade my firmware version to verify (or rule out) that the firmware upgrade is to blame?

Same issues here - this last update was garbage and wrecked my versa too. Thanks Fitbit. We now refer to it as the sh*tbit because it’s basically a piece of 💩 now.
