Versa Special Edition Backorder

I wonder why it is taking so long for the special edition to ship. I ordered a regular pink one and that one shipped in less than a week.

I went to Best Buy and they did not have the special edition. I just wish there was some update or information.

I even tried contacting customer support and this is what they said,

"Rep: Due to the high demand of the Fitbit Versa, all units are currently out of stock. We expect new ones to arrive and to ship in 3 - 4 weeks.

Me: Does that mean I have to wait for 3 to 4 more weeks?

Rep: Correct, could be sooner.

Rep: As soon as the unit ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with the tracking details.
