Versa Special Edition band

Definitely Fitbit needs to provide a better band for the Versa Special Edition.  The lavender band started to fray within a month of purchase.  Now the band is starting to develop a yellowish color.

The advice given by Fitbit staff to switch to the black band is not acceptable.

Sorry but would not buy this product again.  For the money paid the band should be of better quality.

Have they not offered to replace it under warranty?

No.  They told me not to sleep with the lavender band on the Versa and switch to the black bands. The black bands are the plastic looking kind.

Hi, @Gertrudis! If you look at the documentation, the fabric band is only intended to be worn decoratively, not as a regular use band. I found this out the hard way myself when I wore it all weekend long on a trip when I first got it and it was already getting grimy.

Too bad that the band is only decorative.  Fitbit should have disclosed that in the description of the product.  My husband has the same type of band on his Apple Watch. He wears it all the time and has not deteriorated at all.

Forgot to include that the Fitbit support staff never mentioned that the band was only decorative when I filed a complaint.
