Versa Stainless Tapered Links watch band clasp is the weak point

Hi Forums,

I pre-ordered the Versa when it came out.  I was excited that a Fitbit finally resembled a smart watch and not an odd rectangle on a plastic band.  I ordered the Fitbit Versa™ Family Stainless Steel Tapered Links band with my Versa and I like how it looks.

What I hate is the clasp.

I'd like to know what can be done to rectify this lousy design that comes loose and risks me losing or damaging my Versa.

Fitbit support was helpful but not really able to help.

Apparently they used to sell replacement clasps so they know their design is crap.

They no longer have replacement clasps on the Fibit.com/store site.

Basically my options are:

  • Look on Amazon for a replacement clasp
  • Look on Amazon for a replacement band
  • Look for an Apple watch, a quality band and get rid of my Fitbit issue.

I'm unsure at this point which of these I'll pursue. I'm still pretty unhappy about this clasp being so poorly designed.
