Versa Stopped working completely after a little over a year

It looks like the versa is not stable enough to last even little bit more than a year, I have blue lines on the side of the screen and the rest of the screen is all black. Cant even start or see anything on it. Not even syncing. was hoping to get more value for my money. Just a few weeks over warranty.

Try a Restart and do it several times if necessary.

You don't need to see the screen to restart.

The same thing happened to me. My first Versa died 11 months after purchase and was deemed defective by Fitbit so they replaced it (just the watch head). That one only lasted 8 months and has now also died. First, the screen went wonky then it turned off and is unable to be charged or anything. Fitbit would only offer a discount to me off the purchase of a new device, which I turned down since I didn't feel I should have to spend more money. Thankfully, the store at which I purchased the original device had also sold me a three year extended warranty so I went back to them with the original watch I purchased and they determined it was unrepairable and replaced the entire device with a brand new one still in the box. I picked it up on Wednesday and have not be able to do the mandatory update so I can't even set the thing up. I would reach to Fitbit and see what they can do for you. I hope you have better luck than me.

Thanks Stacy. I did reach out to Fitbit CS and they told me the same thing as you that I need to buy another one. Like you, I dont want to spend another $200 on an unstable device that would last only 11 months. I would rather go with Apple watch now.

It's just terrible that they aren't making products that last and are charging so much money for them!

I have had 2 Fitbit Versa watches die after exactly one year now. The first one I bought in August of 2018, then one day in August 2019 it suddenly went black and wouldn’t charge or restart. Luckily, I was a couple days shy of the warranty expiring so after an easy online chat experience I was sent a new one. (However, the new one does not come with an additional warranty, so I basically had none.) This one just died today, August 2020. I’m so frustrated because I have loved this watch when it actually works, and I don’t want to drop a ton of money on an Apple Watch.

A very similar thing thing happened to me .I purchased a Fitbit Versa 2 on 09/28/19. On 09/29/20, it blacked out and would not charge. I've tried all kinds of suggestions to no avail. Unfortunately for me, it was one day after my warranty expired. Make me think twice about buying a Fitbit again.
