I had this happen on my android phone. I had to force close the fitbit app on my phone, restart the phone, and restart my versa lite. Then it worked.

I had the same thing happen I have tried to reset everything including deleting the app and reinstalling it:(

I’ve had this issue since Sunday! 😞 I keep trying to update the software through my phone and ipad, but it keeps failing. I haven’t been able to use my watch at all because it doesn’t even display the time anymore; it’s virtually useless. Every now and then the watch flashes and says “To start, download the Fitbit app”. Help!

Had to do a factory reset then try again. My Versa now as the update.
