I’ve had multiple problems and replaced my Versa twice. I think it’s time to move on and go with the Apple Watch !

I have a update issue.. watch is not working because update is not

firmware update version 32.6.1.1

This firmware update has made my fitbit versa useless. I lose time, it doesnt sync, battery draining quicker than usual and wont connect to the gps on the phone when I go for a walk.

I've restarted the watch

Restarted the phone

Factory reset the fitbit

Uninstalled and reinstalled the app

Did the firmware update through both wifi and bluetooth both end up with the same issues. The Fitbit syncs once and then stops.

Please either issue an update or let us roll back.  It's not even useful as a watch when it loses time.

Surely this is correct and update is not OK at all.

I also updated my Fitbit versa with version 32.70.727.  Now my battery doesn’t last a day.  I tried to restart my versa. Also changed the screen to the original.  No luck.

Help!

Directly after the update I also had this battery draining issue. The battery lasted only for some hours. I did some things and obviously one did the trick:

  • restarting with left and bottom right button pressed together for some seconds
  • deleting the Versa and adding it again in the fitbit app
  • draining till it dies and loading for around one day or so

Now the Versa lasts again around three days. But the drainage issue if it is switched off still occurs. One night off and a 2/3 full battery is empty (vampire leakage).

This is not great. Come on Fitbit, what is going on?

You all need to stop referring us to articles and troubleshooting. none of this works! it’s time they start replacing Fitbit’s even when out of warranty. 1 year and 4 months Fitbit versa has issues. Not acceptable!

I have never seen a company with such horrible customer service and that also keeps selling a product they know won't work with the defective updates.

I got the update last Sunday, April 26. I've had basically no issues. A few weird things: my watch froze, restarted it & that cleared up. Today, my floors count is way outta whack. We have no stairs to speak of. I've been in house all day & apparently, I've done 14 floors. I just restarted my watch & am going to charge it up. My battery life has remained the same 6-7 days. Notifications are still working, as is the agenda. Steps are still accurate. Heart rate is good too. Just the floors issue.95544360_10158308348007959_3780782650365575168_o.jpg

@JuanFitbit

Clearly you did not read my post and chose to ignore the question I have asked repeatedly regarding the battery draining issue that was introduced with the December Firmware update and was not addressed, resolved and corrected with this firmware update.

In a response on this thread SilviaFitbit advised that the development team was aware of this issue.

My question once again is, since the development team is aware of the issue is a patch going to be done to correct it or is it going to be ignored like it was done with the December firmware version?

You have a lot of users in this thread alone advising of this issue as well as individual posts on the Versa Community Forum and the Ionic Community Forum.  Not to mention the other issues going on with this firmware.

You provided a link that has nothing to do with the cause of the excessive battery drain after users have downloaded this debacle of a firmware update.

In addition,  the link for this firmware update is pointless....what bugs and fixes where actually done?

I will not update my Versa to this debacle of a firmware, regardless of the so called recommendation.  Why should I, so it becomes a bricked device or if doesn't get bricked then perform in a subpar manner and not how your product is advertised?  Then the icing on the cake would be to get a 25% discount off a new device since my Versa is out of warranty.   Thanks but no thanks.

We as users (your customers) should not be afraid and hesitant to do a firmware update.  It should be a seamless experience and not have the major issues that are going on.

Getting a new one makes no sense.  The firmware is still bad.  It will brick a new one too.

Having issues with the new update on my versa. Screen freezes and can’t change from one screen to the next. The main screen goes black and I have to reset it. Now I’m trying to charge it as it was at 3% after charging it to 100% last night before bed, so it’s draining battery a lot faster. I use to get 3 to 4 days between charges. It also won’t read the charger and doesn’t seem to switch over to charging mode. I’ve bought a replacement charger for it to see if it was the charger and still having difficulty with getting it to start charging. I’ve been a faithful Fitbit user for the last 5 years having bought 4 fitbits in that timeframe and I’m about ready to pack it in and get an Apple Watch instead.

This has happened me I updated as my watch had stopped swiping and now the screen is frozen waiting on a replacement you would think with this expensive item that there would not be the same issue with a lot of people it needs to be fixed

Hello, I'm sorry, but have you tied to read the post you reply to? If no - please do read it.

If it's hard for you to find it, I duplicate it below:

Is this your solution for sync issue with the latest update? Sorry, but are you kidding?

One of trouble shooting steps:

If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your Android phone.

Really? This was communicated already that ONLY phone restart helps with the sync issue but it COMES BACK after midnight again! Every day around 2 AM, last 2 days it happened at 00:40-50, device stop sync. And when you get up - nothing changes even after you turning on/off bluetooth, watch etc. Only phone restart helps.

This is not a solution.
