Versa added to new Fitbit/Google acct

I’d like to pass my existing Versa 2 to my Dad. I don’t want to unpair the device from my Fitbit account straight away. 
Can I pair the device to my Dads account before unpairing??

@Paella1411  I’m sorry, but a Fitbit can only be on one account at a time.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I will have to remove device from my account before pairing onto my Dads account. 

Will I lose my history? As not getting a new Fitbit yet?
