Versa adjusted my calorie burn for the last two weeks

I use a spread sheet to track Fitbit data as well as my calorie intake/break down using My Fitness Pal.  This morning when I went to log yesterday's calorie burn, I noticed that it was significanly lower than typical.  Upon further investigation, I discovered by comparing my spreadsheet to my FB app that the calories burned has been reduced back to May 3,2019.  Everything before May 3rd matches up to the spreadsheet.

I've been using the Versa for about 6 months and prior to the Versa, uses a One for approx. the previous 4-5 years and loved it.  I finally got used to wearing a device and have been overall happy with Versa, but am concerned about how/why my burned calories has changed and concerned about the accuracy.

Anyone experience this or have any ideas?

Thanks!

PS, This is my first post and I see I am labeled a "jogger".  I am not a jogger, just a 65 year old walker trying to stay active and control my weight! LOL

@SteveColeman Jogger simply refers to the activity on the forum. The more you post, the higher levels you will reach. They all have different names. Look at mine! About calories, this is... unusual. Honestly, never heard about it before. Could you please take a deeper look and see if there's a change in exercises recorded, active minutes (those could have been impacted as well) and most importantly heart rate?

This is not a solution. Somehow I accidentally accepted my own post as a solution. I am still perplexed over the whole deal.

Hi Marrmaduke,

It appears only the amount of calories burned is adjusted lower. I’ll try to post a photo of the spreadsheet I use to track. Ive circled my calories burned and penciled in what FB is now saying my daily calorie burn is.

Im very perplexed over why it made the adjustment back to July 3, 2019.

The column labeled RHR is resting heart rate and I see no changes I The logs.

@SteveColeman Resting HR won't tell us much and I know there's no way of pulling full HR data to compare OLD to NEW, but perhaps we could look at Active Minutes (compare your OLD printout with the new DATA)? My best gut feeling tells me somewhere during these last 2 weeks Fitbit adjusted their algorithm and the data got recalculated. They improving it all the time so HR readings (HR readings impact your calories burnt most) are as accurate as possible. I will be honest, I am not sure there's anything we can do about that.

As i continue to look, I note that I have 432 Active Minutes for the week.  I was on the treadmill for 35 minutes this morning and my settings  are set to track, and always have, any walking over :20 .  Today I have zero Active Minutes.  My Exercise category shows a 35 minute walk correctly, but it does not show any Active Minutes.

If there is anyone who is aware of any changes made by FB, I'd sure appreciate them sharing becuae at this time, I am feeling no confidence in my Versa.

Ok, Forget about it!  My calories burned have returned to the earlier recorded higher numbers.  I don't know what is happening, but as long as it the numbers burned is consistant, I'm not going to worry about it anymore.

Thank you for your input Marrmaduke.  i appreciate it!
