Versa (& Blaze) sync issues samsung S8

I bought my Samsung S8 in November, ever since then i noticed my Blaze was not syncing all the time. As of 1.5 weeks ago my Blaze no longer would sync and fitbit deemed that it was broken. I just purchased the Versa and it is having the same problems as the Blaze did..won't sync. I have spent the last 2 hours reading about this problem and i have read that fitbit doesn't work well with Samsung devices because of different bluetooth systems. Is this true? If not why won't both of my devices now not sync (versa is one day old)?

I am really thinking about returning the Versa because it does not work with my phone, which stinks because it seems like a nice watch.

(I've tried uninstalling and installing app, turning bluetooth on and off, etc)

Some more information: 

My app is on all day sync (for both versa and blaze)

 

The more I am reading about syncing problems the more i am convinced that i should return this device due to it not being compatible (although fitbits compatible chart states that it is...it clearly is not 😕 )

Also, why is fitbit app using my battery?

Nope. Fitbit is no help, has no advice other than their usual pair/unpair bluetooth,  delete and add app, etc. and samsung isn't  of any help either. I was told by my carrier that there is a bluetooth pairing problem with fitbit and samsung. I was also told that both companies are aware of it and are not doing anything about it because it works for some people and for others it does not.  I ended up returning the versa 😞 ... looking into nonfitbit trackers now. Good luck! I am super bummed I can't use fitbits.

I've been wanting to upgrade to the versa and I'm glad I saw this post. I currently have the blaze and an S7, and always have had syncing issues... Won't work on walks with GPS, won't receive notifications. And I always have to shut the blaze down in order for it to log my steps to the app. Seems like the versa is the same way and Fitbit has not fixed the syncing issues with Samsung. Think I may wait until this is fixed before I drop more money.
