I track my outdoor cycling on my galaxy s10+ through my Fitbit versa. When I first got my phone, everything worked perfectly. But now, not so much. When I ride my bike, the versa is no longer tracking the distance or the mph. I've been having this problem for over a month now. I even downloaded the Strava app, but it didn't track that well either. Does anyone have a solution for this?

@SunsetRunner What does your Versa show when you start Biking exercise manually on the tracker? Does it even connect to phone GPS or keeps showing 'connecting'? Do you ever get the map of the route after you're done biking? Also, after starting the exercise, are location services running on your phone (in the notification bar)? Finally, would you happen to remember if the problem appeared after Fitbit mobile app update?

@SunsetRunner That means that location services are working properly the info is just not getting relayed back to Versa in real time. This is totally dependent on the bluetooth connectivity so yes, using a competitive device like BT earbuds could be the reason. Try without the headset.

I did as you said and rode this morning without my earbuds. I used the Strava app, which is connected to my Fitbit. Once again, nothing was tracked. It's quite annoying to say the least. At least I know that I'm exercising, even though my Fitbit doesn't calculate it.

@SunsetRunner what I meant is to try a native fitbit mobile app. Please start exercise on your Versa and see if you get the map in Fitbit mobile app and the information in real time on your Versa. Strava app has... issues. Let's try figuring out if Versa works. Before starting exercise, please make sure:
Good luck! 😄

I have a solution for anyone experiencing this same issue. Download the Map My Ride app. I did this and now I know the distance and the mph of my cycling. I use the free features on the app, not the MVP features. Plus, it still gets counted as a workout on my Fitbit.
