In Feb 2019, I bought a Versa. I was quite satisfied with it.
In Nov 2020, the Versa stopped working.
In Dec 2020, I bought a Versa 3.
I contacted Fitbit and, in Feb 2021, they finally gave me a 30% reduction for the future purchase of a new watch. That was valid for 1 month (So I never used it!)
In Oct 2022, the Versa 3 stopped working.
In Nov 2022, I bought another Versa 3.
Yesterday, I decided to open both deffective warches.
Surprise! Corrosion! Both of them.
How could corrosion get in there?

Hi @JacquesPoulet - thanks for the good photos, if you look in the forums you will see users having the same problem of water getting in.
The seals aren't very reliable and detiorate over time so can quickly become non waterproof.
Once water gets in corrosion starts and often this has the symptoms of not charging or holding a charge and mistakenly the battery is blamed.
There are other symptoms too, such as getting hot hot when charging or button or display issues.
While a watch is under warranty it can be used in water because it can be replaced but after warranty has ended avoid contact with water or sweat.

Hi Guy,
It's a good thing they only offer a 1 year warranty. Otherwise, with such a poor quality, they'd go bankrupt!

@JacquesPoulet- actually it might be the inverse, Fitbit offer 35% off a new more expensive one after warranty in the hope to get extra sales, so there is no incentive to improve quality. And in most places the warranty is 2+ years, except primarily America.

No point in arguing with you. I'm simply disappointed of the quality of the product and the very short warranty.
When the one I'm wearing stop working (estimate 2024), I won't buy another one.
A $200 watch should last more than 2 years. I used to have a Timex that lasted over 10 years (around $50 at the time).
Have a good day!
