I had the Alta HR and now have the versa. Can both still be assigned to my fitbit account and give accurate readings or does it combine the data from the 2 devices together??

If you have two devices. you will need to have two accounts on Fitbit for each device seperately. You cannot setup a new device on the same account.

Hi, @EmmaBee88! If you have both devices on your Fitbit account, Fitbit will summarize (but not duplicate) data from both trackers to give you a total picture. So, you can have them both on your account with no issues. I have three trackers on my account that I switch out during the day, depending on what I'm doing. Fitbit does recommend that to not lose data or confuse things you sync the trackers before you switch, but to be perfectly honest, sometimes I go a day before I get around to syncing after switching and I haven't seen any issues.

@SunsetRunner, you're completely wrong. The only restrictions on trackers is with the newer generation (Ionic, Versa, and Charge 3). I would suggest you check out this article to familiarize yourself with the multiple tracker system.

You're right but I'm only partially wrong. I know the article you mentioned, but since this is the Versa board, I answered accordingly. As you stated yourself: "The only restrictions on trackers is with the newer generation (Ionic, Versa, and Charge 3)".

Sure, but the OP mentioned she was trying to connect a Versa and an Alta HR, so no restrictions exist.

Thanks very much for elucidating this, I do not know the Alta, did not know that an Alta and the Versa were able to be added to the same account as the Versa is one of the new generation. Sorry, my mistake.
