I just purchased the new Versa. I have owned the Ionic and I would like to have both watched attached to the same account. However, when trying to set up the versa, it asks me if I am replacing the Ionic and doesn't give me an option to add it to my account. I can only replace my ionic. I did it, but now my Ionic is not connected. How can I get it connected as well.
Thank you,

I think Fitbit needs to fix this. I bought my fitbits in good faith and I want them to be managed under one ID. So make them be managed from the app at the same time.

Hay, this problem is NOT SOLVED! Far from it, I have for the last 2 weeks been changing from my Ionic to my Versa once a day it is NOT QUICK or EASY! It in a real pain! It takes at least 5 minuets skipping WiFi setup, then I have to reset all my Exercises Shortcuts that are set back to default during the changeover, PLEASE FITBIT FIX THIS:wrench::wrench:☺️😂😂

It is bizarre to have Fitbit telling us on the forums that it is quick and easy to switch. When you switch between the two watches the Fitbit app itself says to put aside 30 minutes for the process. Enough said!

this is terrible customer service. i purchased ionic and use for working out, etc, and purchased the versa to be more an every day/dressier watch solution. VERY disappointing and a total waste for money, time and effort. looks like Apple watch time, sadly. I and my wife have a charge2 (sleep or with dress classic watch) as well as an ionic. you are losing customers due to lazy tech. these are the type of simple things that kill companies in a competitive market. sad to see you go fitbit.

Are you a Russian troll? Who has 30 minutes a day to switch out watches? This is not a credible response. An attempt to belittle fitbit customers who actually keep the company afloat?

Not actually a solution is it? Telling us it can't be done rather

Hello there everyone and thank you for the feedback regarding this topic. Since the Ionic and Versa works with with a similar firmware, at this time is not possible to use both watches in the same account.
As it was mentioned earlier, please support the following suggestions if you are interested this option be implemented in the future: Allow both Ionic and Versa on the same account .
See you later and stay tuned for future updates.

How disappointing. I just popped by to check people weren't having difficulties switching between the two before ordering my Versa. I now won't be ordering it and am having a serious think about what device meets all my needs. I do love the features of my Ionic but it's huge on me and looks awful for day to day wear.

It is not the case. Two devices, other than versa and ionic, could be used in the same account

Yeah, I sometimes used to lose steps switching between Charge 2 and Flex 2. That's why I checked if switching was easy before purchasing the Versa. It didn't even occur to me that it wouldn't be possible at all. That's definitely not 'solved'!

What a terrible design. Just had 2 special editions arrive. Went to set them up for our accounts to work with our ionics and they dont work with ionic??? SMH. They are both heading back. Inexcusable in 2018. Feels like mid 90's garbage software.

I agree this is a total pain in the butt to have to remove the Ionic to add the Versa and vice versa. However, switching between the two watches is not difficult or time consuming at all. I wear my Versa M-F and switch to the Ionic for my weekend long runs since it has the built in GPS. It literally takes less than 3 minutes to switch the watches. Again, it's annoying... but it isn't the end of the world and it certainly doesn't take anywhere near 30 minutes!

This info should be available to potential users prior to purchasing a new device. I will probably return the Versa and get my money back. At this time with the app not working properly, FitBit is not in my good graces right now.

This is kind of ridiculous. I've been using multiple devices on my account forever.
First I had a first gen Charge HR and a Surge. I would use the Charge HR when not exercising, and switch to the more capable Surge when working out.
When my Charge HR died, I replaced it with a Blaze. I've been using my Blaze - Surge combo for a couple of years now and it has been fantastic.
I recently bought an Ionic to replace my aging surge. For a couple of weeks the Blaze has been my every day watch, and the Ionic has been my exercise watch. I decided I wanted to upgrade the Blaze and replace it with a Versa, and now after buying it and trying to set it up, I find out this doesn't work?
I sure hope I can return the Versa to Amazon....

There ought to be a HUGE WARNING MESSAGE IN RED LETTERS ACROSS THE FRONT OF THE PRODUCT PAGE.

Well, I decided to return the Versa Special edition. It's on its way back to Amazon. I'll keep an eye on this thread and the linked suggestion thread. If the problem gets fixed, then maybe I'll buy one again, but until then I'm back to my Blaze-Ionic combo.
It's a shame. I really liked the Versa.
