Versa and Swimming

I wanted to list out my experience with the Versa watch here given that I bought this watch specifically for swimming. Since January 2019 when I received the watch till date, I have had three replacements and am now finally on the Versa 2. After reading all the feedback on glitches with the Versa if used for swimming I am now resigned to using this final replacement watch outside of water only.

I believe that the Versa series  is actually not a swimming watch, and I wonder why  FitBit claims that it is actually one. And furthermore, the Versa models are featured in all tech lists about being one of the top swimming watches for 2019 and 2020 - I feel this is completely incorrect and is misleading to consumers. If the Versa is not equipped to work in water consistently, then Fitbit should own up to that fact.

Also, if anyone can recommend a good swimming watch other than the Versa which will at least last me for a couple of years I would appreciate it greatly.

Thanks

I purchase the Versa because you could use it swimming. It lasted about two months, received a replacement didn’t swim with the 2nd, which is wrong  as another post said,  Fitbit needs to correct the issues or not sell it as a swim watch. Now my replacement (9 months old) wont keep a charge for more than 12 hours, tech support/customer service only available via email is giving pointers on how not to drain the battery that use to last 3 days on my settings.  Fitbit states it should last 4 days. So far this Fitbit over promises and under delivers. Still waiting for my issue to be resolved.
