Versa and a Notification of a phone call

I have a Versa and a Moto G 5plus. This phone is not on the list of phones compatible with the Versa (unfortunately!).

But, this morning, my Versa, for the first time in the two weeks I've had it, signaled an incoming call! Now, here's the major problem - my phone was not ringing and did not indicate an incoming call. Is my Versa syncing with someone else's phone? Is that possible???What could be happening here?

@Em54 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! While your phone doesn't show in the compatible devices list it doesn't mean it won't work as you can see when your Versa syncs with it. What it could happen is that notifications may be delayed or this is what I have personally experienced. I also have a non compatible device (Honor 5X) and sometimes I do get notifications but with a several minutes delay (like 10 minutes but this can vary). You could try cleaning and refreshing the link between your phone and your Versa. Start by going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all the devices listed there (not only the Versa). Restart your phone and restart your Versa by doing the following:

1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

After this reopen the Fitbit app to start a sync and enable notifications. Also check that your Fitbit app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions).

Let me know how it goes!

Thank you for your suggestions. It's worth a try to get my Moto G 5plus to sync with the Versa. But I'm not sure it will help with the problem of my Versa notifying me of a call my phone NEVER RECEIVED!! That's the mystery. My Versa showed an incoming call and listed a phone #, but my phone wasn't ringing and hasn't indicated a missed call, even days later. There wasn't just a delay, as you suggested happens with your phone. It seemed like my Versa was synced with someone else's phone! I have received calls on the Moto since I've gotten the Versa and the watch never notifies me. I didn't expect it too, since my phone is not listed as compatible. That's why this issue is so puzzling.

Thanks for replying! I’ve had my Versa since the end of April and it has yet to notify me of an incoming call - except once and it was not my phone number- weird. That’s why I asked this question. It was syncing with a phone that was not my MotoG5 plus. But it only happened once and other than not syncing with my phone, I love my Versa!

I had to set the app on my phone to allow calls and access to contacts
before it recognised the call.
