So i recently bought a new versa, the heart rate sensor would not work through my tattoos on my wrist.i have been using the charge 2 now for about 2 years and never had a problem with the heart rate sensor but the versa will not work.the charge 2 has 2 green lights for the sensor where there versa only has one green light,I think that’s the problem.i’m so disappointed.was excited with my new watch....guess I’ll have to find a different brand that works with tattoos

The epoxy sticker does work. Thank you  so much @THelland! Are the ones you ordered quite thin/flat? The ones I could get shipped on prime to Canada are a bit domed and get uncomfortable after a day or two of wear (leaves an imprint in my arm and starts to pull at skin)

I ended up trying these clear toe protectors that I found at a dollar store. They are gel and are very comfortable and work great!

How do you charge the versa with the stickers on it?

Can you still charge the versa with the toe cover on?

I haven’t been able to. You can get more use out of the sticker if you gently put it aside where it won’t get dusty or stick it to the film from its original package. Reapply after charge.

I had to switch my Versa to my other arm that has a lighter coloured tattoo and it works.  Struggling to get used to it on my other arm.

I also ended up switching arms, it is now on my dominant arm. It does take
some getting used to but it works, so oh well. Definitely wish I would have
known before I bought it. Has anyone found a heart rate monitor that works
on tattoos?

The old FitBit Blaze had no trouble reading through a tattoo. But it had two sensors/green lights

Hey everyone, me again. I ordered the same stickers as the ones posted by @THelland

but they are stuck somewhere between China and my home in Canada. However, I’ll be in Palm Springs next month. Does anyone know or has anyone seen them in any of the craft stores (i.e. Joann, etc) ?

You could definitely find them in a US craft store.

I got a pack of clear epoxy stickers (1/2" sized) at Hobby Lobby for less than $5

I now have tattoos on both wrists. The wrist I usually wear it on basically only has black ink outline as it’s a mandala piece. I switched to my other wrist that has a blue/yellow ribbon and it didn’t work on that one either. I turned the dang thing around on both wrists and it still didn’t work well! On one wrist I have black ink writing and it’s bare on the “mandala wrist”. I’m so frustrated as I use it to track my sleep. I never had this issue with my old charge 2! I’m beyond frustrated.

@ClairBear05  My old Blaze worked just fine on Tattoos too. It’s because it had two sensor light things and the Versa 2 only has one. It is annoying but get the Clear  epoxy stickers. They work great! I ordered some tiny ones from China that another user on this blog recommended & linked. Once they finally arrived, I found them to be perfect. I don’t even notice that it’s there.

New update.  My old versa light died and was replaced.  The new one (May1, 2020) seems to work on both arms with tattoo's.

Same here. My Fitbit Blaze works just fine but my Versa 2 doesn't...so frustrating!

@Wjones1975 I bought the small epoxy stickers suggested in this thread (scroll back to page 1) and they work perfectly!

Mine doesnt work on my left non dominate wrist with my tattoos but works perfectly on my dominate wrist with no tattoos. This particular watch wont work if its sitting on tattoos its so weird.

Do you have any idea as to why this works I've just bought some in the UK and put it back on and it's picking up my heart rate, but it seems too be higher than normal?

Are you get accurate readings with yours.

Also when I take my Versa of it still reads the same heart rate instead of not reading anything as it should.

The blaze I had before I never had any issues with but this Versa is a nightmare

Just wanting feedback from others please

I think the green light is magnified by the epoxy sticker being clear & all...not sure.Powered by Cricket Wireless
